Guideline to customers

Choice of color coated sheet

The choices of color coated are the mechanical, base sheet varieties, galvanizing weight; front coating performance and back coating performance. The important elements should be the application, environment, corrosiveness, life expectancy, processing mode and extent of deformation.


Storage of color coated sheet

  • Not be soaked by water, to be stored indoor and be avoided open-air pile. The interior of the room should be dry and ventilated and have no corrosive gas. To be avoided piling up in the place that is easy to have frozen dew and has the large temperature differences between the cold and the warm. If to have to be stored outdoor temporarily, there must be the square sleeper as holder under the sheets and must be ventilated. The flat ground should be chosen and the top of the wood holder also must be horizontal to make the sheet piling at the same height to avoid bucking warp. The rain-proof cloth must be covered on the sheets to protect them from the direct sunshine and rain.

  • If the color- coated sheets suffer the rain and frozen dew, we should tear open the package immediately and try to get rid of the damp and make the sheets be used as soon as possible.

  • The steel coil should be kept in the same condition as dispatched from the plant. We should avoid pile so as not to destroy the coating.

  • The color-coated sheet should not be piled up in the place with much sand and dirt. The store-up of the sand and dirt on the sheet surface can destroy the coating film of the sheet. And this cannot easily keep the coating surface dry and becomes the source of the corrosion.

  • We should avoid the long-standing storage. While using, we should insist in the principle of first out to avoid the pollution, bruising from the long-standing storage and the tiny color difference while mixing the new and old sheets. Especially in the environment of the coast and industry, we should shorten the storage period.

Transportation

The organic coating film is easy to be injured on the surface of the color-coated sheet. Please especially note the following while transporting:

  • To transport the products intact of the same condition as dispatched from the plant. Mustn't remove the wood holder or make the product upside down in order to convenient the loading and transporting.

  • In order to avoid the injury while unloading the sheet and coil, the rubber support and hoist must be separated or the special hoist should be used.

  • We should clean the carriage for loading and transporting the color-coated sheets and spread the thick rubber support or special protective fitting to avoid the injury of the peripheral steel coil. Especially to avoid laying up the steel coil horizontally on the uneven bottom base of the truck carriage.

  • While the packaging of the color-coated sheet is vertical, the transport and loading and unloading should also be vertical. To horizontally lay up the vertical steel coil, we should use the coil down ender.

  • The transported sheet and coil should be fastened firmly to avoid the scratches caused by the relative movement between the sheets and the rolling of the coil.

  • If we have no choice but to transport the sheets in the open air because of the limited condition, we should cover the rain-proof cloth on the sheets to protect the sheets from directly suffering the sunshine and rain.

The precautions while processing and using the color-coated sheets

The color-coated sheets will be processed by cutting and shearing, bending, forming and the like according to the applications. Because there are zine coating and organic coating on the sheet surface., the processing has many differences from the processing of the common cold rolled sheet. We should pay special attention to them to avoid the injury of the coating film while processing.

The precautions while cutting and shearing the color-coated sheets:

  • We should make the raw edges of the section as short and tiny as possible to avoid the mutual scratch wile cutting and shearing and piling the color-coated sheet.

  • To timely clear away the cutting scraps and metal powder caused by cutting and shearing. Otherwise this can injure the sheet surface and become the source of scratches or the corrosion to get rust.

  • While cutting and shearing the color-coated strip, the roller touched with the color-coated sheet should be the rubber roller or other material. The platform touched with the color-coated sheet should be covered with the rubber mat and kept clean to avoid the injury of the coating of the color-coated sheet.

Precautions while bending the color-coated sheet:

  • To clear away the dirt and rust adhering to the parts of the die, die machine, upward acting platen and the like to avoid the press injury, the scratch on the coating surface to influence the outer appearance and reduce the endurance.

  • The exterior bending of the sheet will be extended to some degree after being processed and this may cause the tiny crack to the coating film. In actual use, this is not a big problem. And this can be reduced and eliminated by expanding the bending rate of the processed position as big as possible.

  • While setting the gap between the die machine and die, we must consider the thickness of the coating film.

  • Because the coating film will become fragile under the super low temperature, we must pay special attention to the processing temperature of the color-coated sheet. The temperature of the pre-coated sheet less than 21 ℃ is not first then to be processed.

  • While gauge forming the color-coated sheet, in addition to pay attention to the above items, to avoid the abrasive wear of the forming rollers and scratches to the coating of the sheet surface, we should use the hardened material to manufacture the forming roller (such as the quenched steel or model steel) or plate hard chrome on the surface of the forming roller.

  • To avoid the surface injury while processing the color coated sheet and constructing, the peeling guard film can be stick before processing and be peeled in the short time after the completion of the construction.

Used for animal husbandry

The color coated sheet for animal husbandry is a special color coated product, which is mainly used in the roof, wall, ventilation pipe, canal tile and other parts of large animal husbandry and breeding plants.
